Linear Perspective Correction

Perspective
When the camera is pointed up at a subject, vertical lines converge, causing the subject to look as if it is unstable or falling over.
Perspective Perspective
Professional Architectural Photographers use cameas with lenses and backs that tilt and swing as necessary to correct
perspective issues. The result is a more pleasing and professional looking image without the appearance of instability.
Completed Corrections

Using Fractal based algorithms, we can often correct even severe perspective issues. Here we added a bit of selective darkening to the sky and foreground, resulting in an image that more pleasing with an emphasis on the primary subject.

But Isn't That Cheating?

No! Our digital processes are functionally equivalent to those previously used in darkrooms and retouching studios, only better, and far less expensive.

There are severe physical and optical limits to the amount of distortion that can be corrected by tilting and swinging the negative stage and easel in standard optical enlargement processes. Thanks to our Fractal-based algorithms and proprietary software, we can often correct even severe distortion with little or no discernible image degradation.
